I know that exact feeling when Friday afternoon hits. You have powered through a busy week of work, managed the family, and finally you can breathe. For a lot of the women I work with, that sense of relief comes with a little bit of anxiety 😅. You have been good all week. You stuck to the plan. But now the structure of the work week is gone and you are staring at two days of potential pitfalls.

In the past, I would see women starve themselves all day Friday just to "save calories" for a few drinks later on. Or worse, they would have one slip up on Saturday afternoon, decide the whole weekend was ruined, and promise themselves they would start again on Monday.

I want to stop you right there ✋

My philosophy at TNYM is simple. You do not need to pause your life to reach your goals. If your health plan requires you to ban wine or live in the gym, it is not going to last. We need to build a routine that fits around your life, and that includes your weekends.

Here is how I approach the weekend to keep my metabolism firing and my energy high, without sacrificing the things I enjoy.

That Friday Night Feeling (and How to Handle It) 🍷

The biggest hurdle is often that moment you switch off from work mode. You are tired. You are hungry. The last thing you want to do is cook. This is usually when the takeaway app gets opened.

Instead of ordering something that will leave you feeling sluggish and bloated, I lean on my "fast food" alternatives. In my free 1600kcal meal plan, I included a Prawn Stir Fry for exactly this reason 🍤. It takes minutes to throw together. It is faster than waiting for a delivery driver and it stops that hunger panic.

And let us talk about the wine.

I do not ban wine. I love a glass myself. The problem isn't the wine itself. It is the mindset. If you want a glass, have one. Enjoy it. But try not to drink it just out of habit or stress. When you stop restricting yourself, you often find you don't crave the binge quite as much.

Saturday Socialising (Yes, You Can Have a Life!) 💃

You used to be able to drop a few pounds just by cutting out snacks for a week. But lately, the scale won't budge and the strategies that worked in your 20s just aren't cutting it. That is why I focus so heavily on metabolic restoration.

Saturday is for living. I never want you to spend your precious weekend hours slogging away on a treadmill. I focus on strength and mobility to build a toned body that moves pain free.

If you can fit in a session, great. My flexible home or gym plans mean you can get effective movement done in 30 or 45 minutes and then get on with your day.

If you are meeting friends for lunch, go for it. One meal does not undo your progress. If you want a burger, eat the burger.

The damage doesn't come from the burger. The damage comes from the guilt you feel afterwards, which leads you to throw the towel in for the rest of the weekend. If you indulge, just enjoy it and move on. You do not need to punish yourself with extra cardio the next day.

Sunday Set Up for Winning the Week Ahead 🗓️

Sunday is where we win the week.

I don't mean spending six hours cooking complicated meals. Who has time for that? I mean being smart.

I use the shopping list breakdown from my plans to ensure I have exactly what I need. When the fridge is stocked with the right fuel, you are far less likely to grab a biscuit when your energy dips 🍪

I like to prep just a couple of basics. I might chop some veggies or get the ingredients ready for the Veggie Omelets I like to have for lunch. They keep you fuller for longer which is so important for keeping your energy up. Maybe I will prep the filling for a Tuna Salad Wrap so lunch on Monday is just a case of assembly 🥗

By doing this, I go into Sunday evening feeling calm. I am not dreading Monday. I am not feeling guilty about what I ate on Saturday. I am just ready to continue.

Why Consistency Beats Perfection ✨

Since 2018, I have helped hundreds of women build bodies they feel proud of. The secret isn't a magic pill or a crash diet. It is consistency.

My goal is to help you never have to "start over" again. You are not restarting every Monday. You are just living a healthy, sustainable life where you feel strong, happy, and full of energy.

Your best years aren't behind you. Let's make this weekend count.

Exercise Smarter. Feel Better. Live Healthier. 💖
